Slideshow song length planner

Enter the team size and the length of each song. You will see how many photos fit, how they split across the songs, and whether every child gets enough screen time.

For 15 children to appear three times each with room for team photos, aim for about 4:15 of music.

The title card, chapter cards, roll call and credits take about 0:32 of the total.

How it works

Most slideshows for a banquet run three to five minutes. Longer videos lose the room, especially the youngest children; shorter ones struggle to include everyone more than once.

The fixed cards take time too: a title card of about 5 seconds, a short card for each chapter, a roll call that grows with the team, and credits of about 8 seconds.

With Galamento you pick one track from a library of music licensed for slideshows, and the video is fitted to its length with cuts on the beat. Use this planner to choose a good length, or to plan your own slideshow with several songs.

Let Galamento do the counting

Share one link and parents add photos all season. The coverage list shows who still needs photos, and the video is built fairly for the banquet.

Questions

Can I use a pop song for the slideshow?

Showing a video with a commercial song in a private room is a grey area, and sharing it online usually breaks the song's licence. Instrumental tracks licensed for this use avoid the problem, and they are easier to talk over at a busy event.

Should the photos change on the beat?

It looks much more polished. Cutting on the beat is what makes a slideshow feel like a video rather than a sequence of pictures.

How long should each photo stay on screen?

Between 2.5 and 4.5 seconds. Quick suits energetic indoor sports, relaxed suits tributes and gentle music.
