Signing in

Signing in with Google or with an email link, what to do if the link does not arrive, and what the messages on the sign-in page mean.

Organizers sign in without a password. Parents never need to sign in.

  • Continue with Google: choose your Google account and you are in. We receive your name and email address from Google and keep only the email address.
  • Use your email instead: enter your email address and we send a sign-in link. Tap the button in the email and you are in.

Both ways lead to the same account when the email address is the same, so you can switch at any time and keep your seasons.

The link works once and expires after 15 minutes. Open it on the device where you want to be signed in.

The first time you sign in, we ask you to tick I'm 18 or older and agree to the Terms and press Continue. It is asked once per account, whichever way you sign in.

The email has not arrived

  • Wait a minute, then check spam, junk and "promotions" folders. The subject is "Your Galamento sign-in link".
  • Check the address you typed. You will see "Please enter a valid email address, like name@example.com." if it is not an address.
  • Ask for a new link. If you ask many times in a row you will see "That's a lot of tries. Please wait a minute, then ask for a new link."
  • Work email systems sometimes delay messages. Try a personal address if it keeps happening.

Messages you might see

“That sign-in link has expired or was already used. Ask for a new one below.”

The link is older than 15 minutes, or it was opened already (some email apps open links to check them). Ask for a new link and open it straight away.

“We couldn't send the link just now. Please check the address and try again.”

Something stopped the email from going out. Check the address and try again in a minute.

“Google sign-in was cancelled. Try again, or use your email instead.”

You closed Google's page or chose not to continue. Press Continue with Google again, or use your email address.

“Google hasn't confirmed that email address, so we can't use it to sign you in.”

Your Google account's email address is not verified by Google, so it cannot prove the address is yours. Use your email instead: the link we send proves it.

“Please confirm you're 18 or older first.”

You signed in but have not ticked the box yet. Reload the page: you will see One quick check. Tick the box and press Continue.

“Please sign in again.”

Your session has ended, for example after a long time away. Sign in again with a new link.

“You seem to be offline. Check your connection and try again.”

Your device lost its connection. Reconnect and press the button again.

You can ignore the email. Nobody can sign in without opening the link in it.
